1. What would happen to the rabbits if the foxes disappeared?
There will be less predators of rabbits. So, the number of the rabbits will increase.
2. What would happen to the toads if the predaceous insects disappeared?
The toads will have no food and they will die faster. And finally they disappear.
3. What would happen to the predaceous insects if the spiders disappeared (think carefully)?
The predaceous insects cannot eat spiders anymore, they will have to turn to herbivorous insects as their food to survive.
4.What would happen to the hawks and owls if the foxes and snakes disappeared?
They will have plenty foods and in the end their populations will increase.
4. What would happen to the foxes if the hawk and owl population increased?
They will have to compete with the hawks and owls for food and there will be less food available for them and it will make their population less in number.
5. Name two species which compete with each other for food.
Spiders and predaceous insects.
6. Name two first-order consumers.
Rabbits and mice.
7. Name two predators.
Foxes and snakes.

Dear Anzz,
I'll respond to your answers in CAPS. Please read what I've written and write me back.
1. What would happen to the rabbits if the foxes disappeared?
There will be less predators of rabbits. So, the number of the rabbits will increase.
GOOD! AND IF THE NUMBER OF RABBITS INCREASED WHAT WOULD THAT HAVE ON THE PRODUCERS AND THE OTHER 1ST ORDER CONSUMERS?
2. What would happen to the toads if the predaceous insects disappeared?
The toads will have no food and they will die faster. And finally they disappear.
GOOD.
3. What would happen to the predaceous insects if the spiders disappeared (think carefully)?
The predaceous insects cannot eat spiders anymore, they will have to turn to herbivorous insects as their food to survive.
GOOD. IF THERE ARE NO SPIDERS WOULD THERE END UP BEING MORE PREDACEOUS AND MORE HERBIVOROUS INSECTS?
4.What would happen to the hawks and owls if the foxes and snakes disappeared?
They will have plenty foods and in the end their populations will increase.
GOOD POINT. DO YOU THINK THE HAWKS AND OWLS WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE 1ST ORDER CONSUMER POPULATIONS? WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF THEY COULD NOT CONTROL THEM?
4. What would happen to the foxes if the hawk and owl population increased?
They will have to compete with the hawks and owls for food and there will be less food available for them and it will make their population less in number.
GOOD THINKING.
5. Name two species which compete with each other for food.

GOOD WORK. SEE MY COMMENTS ON YOUR OTHER BLOG ENTRIES.

1. AND IF THE NUMBER OF RABBITS INCREASED WHAT WOULD THAT HAVE ON THE PRODUCERS AND THE OTHER 1ST ORDER CONSUMERS?
The plants will be consumed faster and they might not be enough supply for the other 1st order consumers.
3.IF THERE ARE NO SPIDERS WOULD THERE END UP BEING MORE PREDACEOUS AND MORE HERBIVOROUS INSECTS?
Yes, it is possible that there will be more predaceous and herbivorous insects because there would be less predators of then.
4.DO YOU THINK THE HAWKS AND OWLS WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE 1ST ORDER CONSUMER POPULATIONS? WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF THEY COULD NOT CONTROL THEM?
They might able to control as long as their number increases in proportion to the number of consumers. If they could not control, the number of 1st order consumers would increase and the plants will be consumed more quickly.
WOW!!! I AM VERY IMPRESSED BY YOUR ANSWERS TO MY QUESTIONS! GOOD WORK!
